Name: Thorfinn Skjaldarbrjotr

Born 885

Thorfinn Skjaldarbrjotr was born in Oslo , his parents died when he was a child. He was fostered by his fathers brother in a small village outside Oslo. Being raised in a small coastal village he was taught to be hard working, and learned many skills. He was taught blacksmithing, wood working, combat, along with the superstitions of his people. Being of good humor and always willing to get into a bit of mischief , he is always careful not to offend the gods and pays close attention to signs and omens. He always is protective of his friends and his foster family.

At the age of 18 he became a warrior for a chieftain who served King Harald Tangle-hair. He fought in battles in Guldale, Stjordale, Sokel and on both sides of the Gota river, and the last battle north of Jaederen in Hafusjord. After being rewarded for his service he left Norway for Iceland. After he arranged travel with the owner of a knorr he sailed from Oslofjord and made landfall in Alptafjord in Iceland and the traveled to Reykjavik. Working in settlements and lending his Axe when needed he has earned the reputation for being a man of his word, and someone to be feared in battle. He will never turn down a challenge of combat or a horn of mead or a chance for mischief. Sometimes his temper and quick tongue and even quicker wit  gets him into situations that he later regrets,  he is a man to be trusted and counted on.

Name: Orho Tokoi

Born: 870

Orho was born in AD 870 in Halikko, Finland. Like most Finns, he learned hunting and trapping, traveling often with his father to Turku to trade their furs.  While in the busy port, he learned to fish, and heard the tales told by the sailors about a new land in the west, called Iceland.  The land was fertile and a man had only to claim it.  With the coming of his 18th name day in 888, he hired onto a knorr as a guard to pay for his passage.  He landed on the southern coast of the Breidafjordur, where has applied his skill of hunting and fishing to provide a living for himself and his future wife Fraoch Ruegsegger.

Orho is the group's Authenticity officer
